21st Century Leaders' Reach Out To Asia Auction Prizes At The 2nd Gala Dinner
Auction lot: Celebrity Ceramics
Donated by 21st Century Leaders, sold at the 2nd Reach Out To Asia Gala Dinner
An entirely excusive range of collectible hand designed plates, mugs and saucers created by celebrity names. The ceramics, donated by Charlotte di Vita MBE, of 21st Century Leaders are produced by the organisation’s Whatever It Takes – a unique charity artwork project with a simple concept. They gather artworks from leaders in all fields; royalty, film, music, nobel peace laureates, sports, literature, etc. Each ‘ambassador’ donates a symbol of home, a self portrait and a message of hope for the future. These artworks are used to create products such as charity wrist bands, clothing, tableware, ethical cosmetics and stationery, all released under the 21st Century Leaders (21CL) label.
This “merchandise with meaning” is manufactured under fair working conditions and is sold to raise funds for charitable causes chosen by each contributing leader, with 100% of the net profits donated to charity. Each celebrity chooses the message they would like to convey and prepares the artwork themselves. The package on offer from ROTA includes pieces from a wide range of leaders including South Africa’s Archbishop, Desmond Tutu; James Bond actor and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Sir Roger Moore; Oscar winning actor, producer and director, George Clooney; acclaimed actress, Nicole Kidman; British entrepreneur, Sir Richard Branson, and one of the world’s most popular rock bands, Coldplay.
